Lengo Cash is a Super FinTech app seeking to revolutionize consumers’ and M SMEs’ access to capital in East Africa. It will simplify the lending process and will allow borrowers to receive fund within minutes all without human interaction. Besides lending, Lengo Cash will integrate remittance, insurance and payment solutions offering business and consumers a one- stop platform for their financial needs. The company will start its operations in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Simplice Essou, MBA, CPA

Founder and CEO

Simplice Essou, Lengo’s Founder and CEO, brings over 25 years of senior finance, accounting, tax , risk management and leadership experience from roles in Senegal and the United States. Theses roles include Vice President positions at Bank of America and Citibank and GE. He is he owner of two accounting and tax advisory firms in the US. For fours years, Mr. Essou also served as a consultant with the Small Business Development Corporation, a SBA backed entity providing consulting services to small businesses. Mr. Essou is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Hiis past experience include a position with Vibra as the Kenya Operations Manager, a Regional Marketing Manager position for Relatance. He currently runs his own consulting firm in Nairobi, Kenya.

Kenneth Likoko holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons.) degree from the University of Nairobi and a postgraduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Ken is an experienced transactional lawyer and has advised local and international clients in various areas including: banking and securities; immigration matters; debt and equity finance; project finance; asset finance; intellectual property both contentious and non-contentious; mergers & acquisitions; insolvency; joint ventures; real estate transactions; and negotiation of complex commercial transactions.
